Before Clocktown Brewing Co. took root in this historic factory,
a piece of American history was founded within these walls. Once the home of the Seth Thomas Clock Company, founded in 1853 by Seth Thomas himself, a visionary clockmaker whose legacy is woven into the very identity of our town. For nearly two centuries, the company set the standard in timekeeping, crafting clocks that found their way around the world, from the iconic Grand Central Terminal Clock in New York City to historic establishments like The Parish of St. John in Neira, Colombia. Seth Thomas clocks were more than just an instrument of time; they were a symbol of precision, craftsmanship, and heritage.

But even the most reliable hands of time eventually slow. The factory closed its doors in 2009, marking the end of an era. But time has a way of offering new beginnings. In 2020 Clocktown Brewing Co. opened its doors, bringing new life and marking a new chapter in its legacy. Today, our brewery serves as a gathering place where craft beer, great food, and friendly faces join under the same roof.
